Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
The short version: we collect what you give us to play (your first name, picture, email, answers, chats, and any optional phone number or intro video you choose to provide). The people you connect with see your name, picture, and Vibe answers as each stage opens. An optional directory listing shows your name and photo to eligible signed-in members; publishing an intro video is a separate choice. Optional-game responses stay private; scored results are shared with a connection only when both people choose to share. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t run ads or ad trackers. Email hello@chempatible.com and we’ll delete your data.
Duh Wild is the trial display name of the existing Chem-patible service at chempatible.com.
This policy explains how Chem-patible (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use chempatible.com (the “Service”). Duh Wild is only for people 18 and older.
What we collect
- Your details: your first name and email address, plus an optional phone number you save privately to your profile or offer in a connection-specific phone exchange.
- Your picture: the photo you take with your camera or choose from your device. It’s cropped and resized on your device before it’s sent to us.
- Your answers: the choices you make to the Five to Vibe questions.
- Optional discovery games: your saved responses, scored self-reflection results, earned pieces, game participation, and each connection-specific choice to share a result.
- Connections and chats: who invited whom, whether a request was accepted or passed, and the messages you send in Private Chat.
- Invitations: if you email an invitation, we store the recipient’s name and email address so we can deliver it and show its status to you.
- Email verification: a one-time code sent to confirm your email before you send invitations. We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of it.
- Cookies and device storage: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in on this device, a cookie that ties a scanned code to the phone that scanned it, and temporary storage in your browser tab that remembers where you are in the game. These are needed for the Service to work. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider automatically records basic request information such as IP address, browser type, and time of access, for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To run the game: build your page, deliver your invitations, reveal answers side by side, and open Private Chat.
- To send the emails you ask for, such as invitations and verification codes.
- To keep the Service safe, including investigating abuse, and to fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
Who can see what
- People you invite or who scan your code see your first name, picture, and your answers as each stage unlocks. Your first five are revealed after they answer theirs.
- In-app discovery requests show the sender’s name and photo to the named recipient. The sender’s offered first five are saved privately with the request; both first-five sets are shared only when the recipient accepts. Accepting does not share contact details or open Private Chat. Later chat and contact sharing require their separate choices.
- Anyone who has your invitation link or scanned code can see what that invitation shows. Share links only with the person you mean to invite.
Optional games and your choices
Your optional-game responses stay private to your account. A connection can see that you started or completed a game. Scored results are shown to the two connected members only after both complete the game and both choose to share their result. Starting or finishing a game does not by itself share its result. Raw responses are not included in the shared reveal.
Earned pieces stay with your account when an individual connection ends. You choose separately whether to offer a piece in a new connection. Optional games are not required to use chat. The information-request and deletion options below also apply to your optional-game information.
Five-round rewards and member discovery
The reward game stores your round choices and earned levels. Your active connections may see your earned status and a chat note when you reach it. Optional questionnaires remain separate from these levels.
You can save a phone number privately to your profile. Confirming a saved number records your confirmation, not SMS verification; saving it does not share it.
A phone exchange is optional and limited to the connection you choose. We store the number you offer; it is shown to that person only after both eligible members explicitly offer a number. These numbers are not verified by text message. Withdrawing an offer hides the exchange in the app but cannot remove information someone already saw or copied.
The member directory is available only to signed-in, verified members in good standing who have unlocked Level 4. Completing a round does not list you. If you opt in, those members can see your first name and profile photo. Your email, phone, answers, and scored results are not included. Blocking and ended-connection privacy restrictions still apply.
A targeted in-app discovery request shares your name and photo with the member you choose. It does not connect you automatically or send an external email. Your first-five answers are saved privately when you send the request so later edits do not change what you offered. If they accept, your offered first five and their current first five are shared with each other. Later rounds, chat, and contact sharing still require their separate consent steps.
An intro video is stored privately when uploaded. Showing it in the member directory requires a separate choice and a listed profile. Replacing the video resets that choice. Unlisting hides your directory photo and video from other members. The information-request and deletion options below also apply to reward progress, phone offers, and intro videos.
Service providers
We use a few companies to run the Service. They process data only on our behalf:
- Vercel hosts the website and servers.
- Neon hosts our database.
- Twilio SendGrid delivers our emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the Service.
How long we keep it
We keep your page, connections, and chats while your account is active. Unused QR codes expire after fifteen minutes. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove your page, picture, answers, and your side of your connections, except where we need to keep something to prevent abuse or comply with the law.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@chempatible.com from the email address on your page. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws, and we’ll honor them. You can also clear cookies in your browser, which signs you out on that device.
Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, keep sign-in and invitation tokens only in hashed form, and limit access to the database. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t share anything in chat you wouldn’t want seen by the other person.
Age
The Service is not for anyone under 18. If we learn someone under 18 is using it, we’ll delete their information. If you think that has happened, tell us at hello@chempatible.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know on the site.
